Dispatch from couch central

Thank you, all, for your kind words and warm wishes. I have been spending my confinement attempting to figure out just how long I can go without taking my terbutaline (current hypothesis is skipping every third dose-- further confirmation pending), keeping up with blogs, and drinking enough water to enable myself to float to the bathroom-- sadly, and on account of all the water I drink, my most frequent destination.

Oh, and digging through PubMed-- new post, full of links and sciency stuff, but also, hopefully, practical advice about an aspect of managing a subsequent pregnancy, is up at Glow in the Woods.

ah yes, it's quite sad when the bathroom visits are one's exotica for the day. i feel ya, sister.

loved the PubMed piece. actually had a friend over Sunday who's 15 weeks pregnant and was saying she's been diagnosed with GBS and was recommended a course of antibiotics at 12 weeks, but they called in the scrip for her the day she was leaving for NYC and the pharmacy looked at her records when she picked it up and said, "you can't take that! you're allergic to penicillin!" so now she's just waiting for her next appointment. but i'm glad they're treating her. she has a twenty month old and had a 13 week m/c in her first pregnancy.

Thanks for stopping by. Scheduling food while you're pregnant is an interesting idea. I hope it works and sorry about the couch time.

I've been away from Blogland but I wanted you to know you are in my thoughts! Keep taking it easy and tell that uterus to settle down!

The fact that you are able to muster that much brain power not only to read and digest the information but to then take the time and thought to write what you did....simply amazing. Not that I think pg women are stupid or anything, it's just that my brain has become one with Pooh, i.e. very little. Come to think of it a lot of me has come to resemble Pooh but that's another post.

I think a post on the new study released yesterday re men, age and infertility might be interesting. I hate to think it is always blamed on us and our age.

AT least it's a nice couch. Not that it's much comfort after the first ten or so hours.

Enjoy the pee breaks...

I came by after reading your comment at Slouching Mom's.

Bed rest is a miracle. It sucks, I know (did it for three looooong months) but it is a miracle nonetheless.

Take good care of yourself and your little one...
